Disclosure
This guide is free to read. The publisher earns money from referral fees: some businesses pay a fee when a customer the publisher introduced to them becomes a paying job. That relationship is disclosed wherever it matters.
Businesses with a referral relationship
- BugZero Pest & Borer Control (bugzero.co.nz). It pays the publisher a referral fee for customers it introduces. It is ranked on exactly the same criteria as every other business, with no adjustment. Every page that lists it carries a short line near the top naming it and its referral arrangement, linking here.
Referral services in the "Free referral services" box
Referral services, not ranked. We have a commercial interest in these and may be paid when you make an enquiry.
Some pages also show a box of referral services: enquiry services the publisher has a commercial interest in, which pass your enquiry to a tradesperson or partner business. The publisher may be paid when you make an enquiry through them. They are labelled in the box, kept separate from the rankings, never scored or ranked, and shown only on pages for the services they handle.
The rules the publisher follows
- Referral partners get no adjustment to their score, eligibility or position. Their scores come from the same script and the same public data.
- If a partner does not qualify for a list, it is not listed.
- No business can pay to be listed, to move up or to have a competitor removed.
- Referral services the publisher has an interest in appear only in the separate labelled box, never in a ranking.
- Links from this guide to businesses are editorial. The guide does not exchange links with businesses it lists.
Questions
If a page lists a partner without a disclosure line, that is an error: please report it through the corrections policy.
